Evaluatign Cf the Mean In-process Time Fur Queueing Networks with Random

چکیده
A class of queueing networks with topology, varying with time at random on each cycle of system, is considered. It is also assumed that on each cycle the network failures may occur with non-zero probability. The upper bound for the mean in-process time of networks is constructed by using the idempotent algebra approach. Preliminary remarks. The mathematical apparatus of the idempotent (max, -l-)-algebra is convenient for description of dynamics and analysis of a complex system including queueing networks. In particular, the dynamics of the queueing networks with a customer service synchronization, a topology of which is determined by deterministic acyclic graphs, can be described by means of a generalized linear equation (see, for example, [1-3]) a:(k) = A(k) ® :c(k 1) (1)

Multi-Objective Lead Time Control in Multistage Assembly Systems (TECHNICAL NOTE)
In this paper we develop a multi-objective model to optimally control the lead time of a multistage assembly system. The multistage assembly system is modeled as an open queueing network, whose service stations represent manufacturing or assembly operations. The arrival processes of the individual parts of the product, which should be assembled to each other in assembly stations, are assumed to...
متن کاملDiscrete Time Analysis of Multi-Server Queueing System with Multiple Working Vacations and Reneging of Customers
This paper analyzes a discrete-time $Geo/Geo/c$ queueing system with multiple working vacations and reneging in which customers arrive according to a geometric process. As soon as the system gets empty, the servers go to a working vacations all together. The service times during regular busy period, working vacation period and vacation times are assumed to be geometrically distributed. Customer...
متن کاملDistribution-Free Model for Estimating Random Queues in Signalized Networks
A general-arrival, bulk service time queueing model is formulated for studying the distribution of random queues in signalized networks. The model is predicated on the occurrence of three traffic stream transformations: merging, splitting, and filtering. The model is applied to steady-state conditions (traffic intensity < 1.0) but can be eventually converted to a time-dependent form to account ...
متن کاملAnalysis of M/G/ 1 queueing model with state dependent arrival and vacation
This investigation deals with single server queueing system wherein the arrival of the units follow Poisson process with varying arrival rates in different states and the service time of the units is arbitrary (general) distributed. The server may take a vacation of a fixed duration or may continue to be available in the system for next service. Using the probability argument, we construct the ...
متن کاملOn the departure process of a leaky bucket system with long-range dependent input traffic
Due to the strong experimental evidence that the traffic to be offered to future broadband networks will display long-range dependence, it is important to study the possible implications that such traffic may have for the design and performance of these networks. In particular, an important question is whether the offered traffic preserves its long-range dependent nature after passing through a...
